 FishElite 500c question

Just bought a Eagle FishElite 500c the instruction are not clear where to install GPS+WAAS receiver/antenna never owned a GPS before does anybody have any suggestions I have a stratos single console

I have a Intellimap 500C and I mounted the antenna on center console grab rail. Works like a champ. I don't think the mounting location is critical as long as there is nothing obstructing the view of the sky. The WAAS feature receives a terrestrial signal so it will function best mounted as high as possible. On a bass boat that is difficult. I have seen the antennas mounted on the gunnel and on top of the engine cowling. BTW, you're going to like your new unit!

got the same unit and mounted the gps on the console and no problems yet.
