I have been asking questions for years about on why they shut down the power plant at Tradinghouse Creek Reservoir to many people, and nobody seemed to know anything about on what might be going on, even I know that some of the people on this forum is wondering as well, So here’s some information concerning Tradinghouse Creek Reservoir that might answer some of these questions as well. Although the information was from last year, it explains a great many things, and it may explain why last year 2010 that the TP&W restocked THCR again with redfish. After reading the news articles, some infamous words came into my mind and that is “All good things must come to an end.” THCR will be a normal lake from now on, and I know it has reverted back to what a normal lake would be compared to a power plant lake. Now sense the redfish for the most part are gone! Some of the other species should make a good come back especially the crappie! The species that THCR now has are. Largemouth bass and bream, Channel & flathead catfish; and blue catfish are very rare and non existent. There are three species of gar, longnose, shortnose; and spotted. There are also carp and smallmouth buffalo as well. Some of the buffalo I’ve seen down there appeared to be in the 40Ib + class range. http://www.istockanalyst.com/article/viewiStockNews/articleid/3916763http://www.kxxv.com/story/12846771/luminant-to-mothball-tradinghouse-creek-plant?redirected=true
