Like Aransas Hooligan has said already, it was ridiculously windy in Austin today. Luckily the wind was mostly out of the north, so if you stayed ob the north side of the lake it was "fishable".

After picking up some special "girlie" rods and her "inherited" Tarpon 140 last weekend, it was time to get my Tessa on the water. I tried to do as little fishing as I could manage, while trying to get her on some fish.

She did end up with the first fish, a respectable little redbreast, and hooked into 2 more bass, but they ended up spitting the hook before she could do anything with them ( i.e.hold them in the water until I could get there).

I managed to catch a 9" redbreast at the mouth of Barton Creek, and then a few small bass.

Pics!

"Fishing Fedora" Do you have any equipment on your kayaks such as graphs and GPS? If so what brands?

Thanks guys! The fishing was a little off today, but had a good time.

Laker,
I have a Humminbird fish finder (160) and LED deck lighting, but I haven't used the fish finder in a couple months, I'm having trouble keeping the transducer attached to the hull (thru-hull).

Roo,
I'm hoping that I won't be cursed like that since I didn't buy the kayak, just picked it up. She really wants a standup paddle board though.

Those are some nice lights. My friend picked up some I think at Bass Pro Shop. They are blue in color and are the deck lights also. I think he is getting a humminbird fish finder along with a GPS unit. I told him to get or take some pictures. Again nice job on the lights. woot
