i was out fishing this morning and it was to windy to use the fly rod so i used the bait caster with a wacky rigged senko and caught 6 bass in the same spot with in 30 mins. If it wasnt windy, what should i have used? (maybe a clouser, or wooly bugger?)

In this much wind you're kind of borked. If it isn't quite this windy and I have the room I position myself to cast up-wind a good bit, leaving a lot of line on the ground or water, and try to use the wind current to my advantage for a drift. You can use the belly of the line to "kite" your fly where you want. I have used this method to drift a floating line down banks from a kayak and then give a sharp roll cast to get it into cuts. You can't linger unless you can mend decently because the same method you used to get the line there is already taking your line past your target and you can get fouled on the downstream side of the mouth of the cut.
You can also use this method if the wind is strong from your six. Let out some line and get it past your rod tip. More or less drop or toss the fly in the water near you and raise your rod tip to catch a bit of wind. Raise or lower your rod tip to pull your fly away from the bank at the speed and depth needed. Works well for panfish when its cold and the water is steep and deep at the bank. Not really good for a hook set if you have an appreciable amount of line out.
Death smiles at everyone, Marines smile back.

I went fishing this morning in that wind with a flyrod and caught fish. Leave your conventional gear at home and you will be less likely to use it as a crutch. If your worried about the wind in Texas you will never get to fish. Oh yeah, the streamer worked.
It's more than the catfish would do.
