I got mine - Double D - this way. The club was fishing a tournament at Cypress Springs/Bob Sandlin. We were staying at Ragans. After the first day of fishing, we all decided to clean up and go eat catfish. I took a shower, and grabbed a white Columbia Club shirt out of the bag, and threw it on. When we were walking into the cat fish place, one of the guys said "what's that on the back of your shirt?" Turns out, in the laundry, one of my wife's bras got the hooks caught in the webbing under the back vent. It was hanging down my back. One of the guys had to cut the hooks out right in front of the window where a large group of folks were eating. They were cracking up. Ever since then, it's "Double D".
Just glad to be here!

Bought a boat! It's not funny or original but its true. DD that would have been funny. I am sure they will never let you live that down.

That might be the best story I ever heard about how someone got there handle on here. Mine is pretty simple. I coach/teach for a living and my last name is Mason. I have been going by Mas as a nickmame most of my life, pronounced mase, not maas like spanish for more. coach

Got mine at a tournament. I put together a 5 fish stringer of 25lbs in about 2 hours all on a buzzbait. Guess it stuck when my buddy started calling me that.
It doesn't matter how you find the pot of gold, all that matters is that you beat the leprachaun.

A buddy at work started calling me "Treetop" after a Crosby, Stills and Nash (Young?) song, "Treetop Flyer" a song about a smuggler of some sorts. This is because of the way I quietly do my work, get things done, and stay outta the limelight. I did think it was kinda cool although the only thing I smuggle is fishing stuff in to the house/garage as the wife thinks I have too much c**p to begin with! ......And people do like me around where I work as I have been here almost 12 years....
Keep 'dem lines tight and enjoy the fight....!

I was assaulted by a six lb bronzeback terrorist at Lake Whitney during an Anglers Choice tourney. It stripped all the gears outta my little spinning reel. I ended up hand lining him in to the boat, when i went to belly lift him, he jumped and drove the treble hooks on my pop-r into my hand I got his lil arse though, bleeding hand and all

Name, but for the boat and guide business...my buddy gave me a hard time for fishing with live bait for stripers and using shad...After I took him out for a day at Whitney throwing nothing but artificials all morning and switching to shad that afternoon...we started catching fish..
so, SHADBURY WAS BORN.
