nice fish caught by everyone. I have caught a few 2lbs but I don't use this rig as much as I should.

Apparently, neither do I....anything over 5# has got to be a pretty good tussle on the lighter tackle...

I caught two overs with Eric wright before he was a guide. We gussed them at 7 and 8+. they came on a kiwi trick worm, 12 lb p-line, 6'6" Extreme worm rod. I caught a 7.5 on EM on 8 lb p-line, spinning rod 6'6" and a rattlesnake.

Bass fishing is like a 30,000 acre golf course with no flags and five holes you can't see- Tim

If my memory serves me correct, I think Billy Dyson posted a pic of a 12.95 he caught on a drop shot! Maybe he'll step in here and brag a little bit. It was been a couple of years ago.

As for me, I got nothing to brag about, several 7 and 8 lb fish - no monsters, but definitely some good fish.

Just cause it's a downsized bait doesn't mean it only catches downsized fish!

Same here, biggest around 9.5. But I did catch these on back to back drops on Big Sam.

Lake tyler a couple years ago in June... caught a 7.44 in a tournament in 15 foot of water fishing over Hydrilla. I was using 8# trilene flourocarbon and a size 1 splitshot gamagatzu. I was throwing a 5 inch roboworm in tequilla sunrise color

Lots of big fish on drop shots....biggest was 9.

Bunch of 8's and below. Dont let anyone tell you you dont get big bites on a drop shot! The Manther calls it a sissy stick...I love mine ....its really one of my most confident baits thanks to a guy named David Gillham....that dude can drop shot!

Whether you think you can or you can't, you are probably right.

Man,

I was catching some fish on spoons and David was catching fish on dropshots. We were fishing parts of the the same school on Fork during a tournament.

Next day, we're both out at the same spot on the same school. David's dropshot was still catching. Well, I had reverted back to just fishing!

He won the tournament!

That made a believer out of me. I don't go to the lake without one tied on, now.
