So, the new powerpole is coming out early 2012. 10', wireless switches, an app. for smart phones that controls them. Cost...close to 2K, is it worth it?

Once you add the wireless to the old 8ft isn't it nearly the same cost?

8' $1795
10' $1995

Installs under an hour on most boats.

To tell the truth, I have the remotes and all the switches, and if you install the switches correctly in the right places, then you will find that you rarely use the remotes.

I like being able to use my foot to deploy or raise while I am fighting a fish. The hands free part is a must option.

I can't really see how digging around to find your phone is a benefit. Besides my phone is in the glove box where, so I won't get it wet.

The phone app is to custom tailor speeds, super fast super to get stopped in a hurry or slow so not to spook fish.

There could be other developments with the sea monster system in the future..

Same here. I put a switch on the bow and one at the console. I really don't have a desire for a remote. It's just something I would lose or drop in the lake. I would however like the extra 2' the blade offers.

I payed a hair over 1600 with remotes then when you get a second poll they will both run off same remote so no it would alot cheaper. Now I would like the 10's but not on this boat I just put these on my boat now so maybe my next boat I will do the 10's and they are easy to install once you find were you are going to mount everything on the inside.

Cody,

How has the power poles help you in fishing. At the end of a tournament do you look back and credit them for extra fish you catch and a higher place finish? Just curious on your option

I can honestly give one of my wins this year to my single power pole

I sat in one spot all day with waves coming over the back of the boat

It was the only way I could sit on that spot and stick 32 lbs

I dont' have them on my boat, but have been in tourneys in situations where I wish I could of had them. I would of been able to focus more on what I was doing with the fishing pole than fighting the wind and waves with the trolling motor.

I only use the remotes to lower them to back in the garage.
I'm about to install the foot switches which will be awesome!
they are truly a necessity for me now..

to some people spending 200 bucks on a graph is not worth it.
