 Choke Advice, never been there.

Planning to try to go bass fishing at Choke. Any information on colors, lures, locations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Ive been fishing Choke for YEARS...Im gonna watch this thread so maybe I can catch some fish out there!!

South Shore and Callaham are the best ramps. The points on the north shore of the main lake are usually good. Frogs/topwater over the grass early (or late) and drag plastics when the sun gets up. Beware of hardwood in the lake.

Thanks for the advice. Next thing is, called a couple of hotels and they are booked solid with oilfield people. Anybody know of anywhere else to possibly stay?

Fishing at choke on Tuesday ....was ..... AWESOME!!! Boated 12 keepers, got two more to the boat that spit the hook and boated two dinks. Even saw Two BIG gators!!

While I have only been to Choke once on a guided catfishing trip, take my advice seriously..... do not get in the water!!!! They got gators out there ...... Laterz, dafanman

Choke Canyon Lodge its between South Shore and Caliham.......great place to stay! Like others have stated, frogs early then start punching
