Just be safe and use common sense and if nothing else you'll have a story to tell. My buddy still tells his walleye/northern pike fishing buddies about that trip.

They still don't know where its going, but they are now saying that if it does hit Galveston, it should get bad Sunday night. So at least there is Saturday. yea looks like we're only gonna have friday night and Saturday to catch a long weekend's worth of fish... good luck everbody

Hate to mess up your trip . But we need rain and a lot of it . 10 inches would be a good start.

Well, looked for fish Saturday and Sunday. Wind and light rain. Wind was the main issue. Saturday only hits were on DOA shrimp, all small fish. Sand trout and one small red. Sunday for one small second it turned. Sun came out and wind slacked off. There it was, reds rolling right in front of me. The first hit, was a big one. He pulled off about twenty feet of line before I lost him. The second one was smaller, but went air born, he too came off. My blood started flowing. Then a gust of wind, and hey were gone. After nearly thirty min of more wind, I called it quits.

we only ended up fishing yesterday (went to fayette saturday) and were stuck to bank fishing because of the wind...fishing was pretty slow caught a few specs biggest was maybe 18" and a few sand trout...also caught a couple rat reds, a little flounder, a croaker, a few small catfish, and a ladyfish....but that wind was BRUTAL!!!!!!
