I caught this on a spook! For size reference I am 6'4" and around 275lbs when that pic was taken.  Jason That is a BIG turtle. It would love to nibble on you toes!

if your catchin dinks you know its a good lure. Try working it real slow, twitching the rod and walk the dog,...sort of like fishing a HulaPopper,...has to be slow. Best of luck!

I have caught numerous fish over 3 with it... and a few over 5 on it... you dont have to throw it... but i will sure keep walking it

all you guys didn't catch those fish on a spook, they only catch little dinks. Sdgull, if you want I will pm you my address and I will get rid of those dink catchers for you. lol

Wish me luck. Tomorrow has been deemed " the day of the spook". I am going to fish for 6 hours and I am only bringing spooks.
So, here goes nothing. I am going to learn the spook or mail you guys my gear.

I didn't bring him in to get the spook back I brought him in because I wanted a picture! If I had just told people I caught a big turtle on a spook that is not the turtle they would have envisioned. Besides he broke other equipment that cost more than that dang lure.

What I don't like is you have to put monofiliment on that rod so it kind of takes that rod out of play all day just so you could throw a spook for 45 minutes.

Yea it just really grinds my gears when I go out and catch a bunch of small fish on a lure the first time I ever use it... I think this "spook" lure you speak of is just a fad anyway. No way its gonna catch on among serious fishermen.

Had the best topwater day in over thirty years of bass fishing last Easter on Ivie. Me and buddy caught 34 pounds in two and a half hours (two 8', 7',6',5') all on spooks. Here is my buddy showing off the eights!  this guy looks like he hates spooks
