Tell me if this scenario is legal. If I camp on the beach can I have a limit of filets in the cooler from the day before and catch another the next day or do I have to take them home before I can catch anymore?

Take them home. Makes it hard on us that lives a couple hundred miles away.

The law states that for instance, Redfish, let alone tagged trophies over 28" in Texas, The daily bag for reds is 3 in the slot. Your possesion limit is twice the daily bag until you get to a permantant residence. That would mean YOUR beach house or in my case, Round Rock. It doesn't matter how much you have in the freezer at home not a hotel or camp.
From the manual as of August 30, 2011:
Possession Limit: The maximum number of fish a person may possess before returning to their permanent residence. Possession limit is twice the daily bag on game and nongame fish, except as provided in this guide, and does not apply to fish in the possession of or stored by a person at their permanent residence.
Read and learn the curent manual.
Be carefull, the wardens play hard ball. No joke. I read a story here recently that said a bonus tag was not attached properly becauce he took a bonus red that had her tail bitten off by a shark and the guy couldn't attach it properly. Instand of tagging in before the tail, becuase she didn't haave one. He stuck the tag in her mouth. $350 later.
That is just wrong.

It's called "The Outdoor Annual" and you get them for free anywhere you buy a hunting/fishing license. I usually grab 4...1 for home, 1 for the RV/hunting camp, 1 for the boat, and another for the truck. Then I've always got one nearby.

If I were a judge and some game warden brought a ticket to my court for mistagging a red that couldn't be tagged properly because of a missing tail, I would find the warden in contempt of court and have him picking up trash on the roadside. That is just plain stupid.

You can have a possession limit if you fish throughout the night, or two days. Gut and gill them, but do not fillet. Cleaning tables are illegal by the letter of the law.

That is just wrong. Only at "Your beach house" if that's your primary residence. You can only have one primary residence so it would be up to you to prove the beach house is it. Just being the owner does not make it primary.

Ask Johnny Law Dawg. To me if you own it, you can keep. I never catch limits except for reds.
