what is the strangest lure/bait/whatever you have ever caught any type of sunfish on? mine will have to be string

Caught a gill on a cigarette butt that I found by the pond when I ran out of worms.

A bare hook! I put a bare hook into a school of feeding Blue Gill and was able to catch a few of em. The hook was gold colored.

A piece of bubble gum!  Actually caught a 15 inch Bass on it.

It actually stays on the hook pretty good!

Hooked a nesting rio at crescent bend on a unripe blackberry, came off before I could get her up the hill to me.

My nephew caught several on boogies when he was little lol. Apparently it works pretty good. I always catch them using crappie corn, i swear bluegill hit those more than crappie do!
