Why would anyone trust their life to a device that is so......."iffy"??  My question is "do you wear a PFD all the time when you're on the water?"

I always wear mine and i'm a good swimmer. Even if its 100 dang degrees! Why? I have three kids and a wonderful wife. I don't want to leave them because of my stupidity. They call things an accident for a reason.

I had one that inflated sitting on the deck in the sun. I will not use them anymore.

On the pull cord vest how do they work if you become unable to pull the cord?
