Fast Lane. Great that you stepped up and spoke for us
Could we as a group of fishermen go to the next city council meeting as a show of force as did the Local home owners when they were wanting grass sprayed .
use the same approach that they did>??
I live in Flint but would be willing to be there, speak, support, or what ever.
Ask the local media to be there also This will give more volumn to our cause.

I hate to say that the Hill Creek ramp is still good because last time I was there,, Sunday, there was a tow truck there picking up a boat and trailer with a busted axle. However, I had no troubles unloading or loading. I don't know how the axle was broken just that it was.

Problem there is that a buddy has been broken into twice in the last two years there. So, launch at your own risk.

I agree it wouldn't take much to make that ramp good. The Lake Patrol told me that they dug the little hump/bricks out with a backhoe and hauled them off. He said they were not going to put them back at the end of the ramp because they will just get washed back out.

Do y'all think some heavy gauge 12" wide metal studs put down extending into the lake would help out? Kinda like some ramps to load a atv onto a truck? If so i will donate some to help fix the situation... If someone wants to try it you can stop by my office its the brick building at the northeast corner of 110 and aker tap, ask for Daniel

That makes no sense what so ever. What an excuse, if they were there and serving a purpose, why would they go and dig them out?? Obviously they haven't been washed out yet. So they go and remove them because they will just get washed out anyway???
Geeze....

Yea... they had washed back away from the lip/drop off of the ramp into a small hump. So instead of moving them back up against the edge of the ramp they removed them and hauled them off..

Went this morning to the Hillcreek and you can still launch if you use the left hand side of the ramp. (Left hand side if you are facing the ramp). Someone put down some sack crete recently and I didn't have a problem loading or unloading there.

ring fry, breaking into trucks is nothing new at any ramp, it happens everywhere and all you can do is keep anything valuable out of sight. I have a truck that screams "steal my wheels" and I leave it at Hill Creek all the time, nothing you can do but keep your insurance paid up and valuables out of sight.

People get mugged all over the place, murdered, raped, robbed, etc. If you allow a dirt bag to dictate your life, you may as well stay at the house because bad guys are everywhere. Carry a pistol and hope you don't have to use it.

Since that is the only ramp on the lake that you can launch at.... there is alot of people at that ramp and they have not had any problems. The Lake Patrol and City of Tyler water Utilities Park Police have been patroling it. Fishing was good today, caught a bunch of fish off of weedlines with a C-Rig.
