I have two 8's now but would have bought two 10's if they had been avail. An anchor is always an alternative. Used one for years! But, once you fish outta a boat with twin poles on back you will wonder how you ever got along without em!

Well if you were in 11 ft of water you would be saying the 10 was to short. I have a 8ft pro and will be putting another one during the winter. It wouldsnt matter if they made a 20 footer, there would be a time where it was to short.

I love the one 8' I currently have, sometimes wish I had two to keep the boat from spinning, the funniest thing is the goofy questions I get "what's that thing hanging off the back of your boat" , I need to come up with some snappy comebacks , like it's the probe that shocks the fish up so I can net em'
I am going to buy one just to find out for myself. Half y'all lie like hell and the other half are full of chit. www.anglersprotackle.com/store, A great locally owned business www.bcfw.org Bass Club of Fort Worth

Thinking about getting 2 8ft power poles. Are they a hindrance to the person fishing in the back of the boat? Any other negatives? HOW much are the 10footers?-2 would be nice.

Whether you think you can or you can't, you are probably right.

The 10 footers will not be out until 2012 and will be $2,000 each.
Yes they do get in the way a little but they are no where near as much a problem as they are a help. As stated they can be lowered if necessary but they are not that hard to work around.

The folks that are saying just use an anchor don't really know how much of a benefit a power pole is, I guess instead of a depth finder they could use a weight on a string to determine depth, once you have a pole you will not be without one.

You will not be disappointed with two 8s whether Soortsman or Pro. The can be lowered out of the back deck fisherman IF there is ever an issue 10fters are 1995, installs in under an hour on mist boats and will be available mud January.

Based on your past use of your power pole, and with the new 10' blade coming out in a few months would you rather have a pair of the new 8' sportsman series or a single 10' Blade? So what would it be a pair of 8 foot bottom line series or a single 10 foot top of the line series?
Thanks for input
Jason
2 8' Sportsman Series and your investment is done 1 10' Blade if you plan on putting more into your rig down the road because if you just get one you WILL be getting another askin as you get the cash! I'd personally go with the Blade because ifthe ease of installation and wireless capabilities. It will install un under 1 hr on most boats.
