I have a question for power pole OWNERS. If you think it is an overpriced piece of equipment or think an anchor and rope serve the same purpose then you will be unable to answer my question so plese don't turn this into another PP bashing thread. Thanks
NOW the question. Based on your past use of your power pole, and with the new 10' blade coming out in a few months would you rather have a pair of the new 8' sportsman series or a single 10' Blade? So what would it be a pair of 8 foot bottom line series or a single 10 foot top of the line series?
Thanks for input

I, personally, would rather have 2 of the 8'ers. yes I am a power pole owner and user, and promoter of them. I dig em!

I will be getting the Blade to go with my Sig. Series 8'. It has made my fishing time more productive. I am not wasting time trying to fumble around and pull out an anchor when i come across something that needs more attention with repetitive casts. Or i just need to retie, spool another reel, just study my Structure Scan, or for culling time. All provided that i am in shallow enough water. I tend to try and concentrate on depths from 12' to bank anyway so i am usually sitting in that water table where I can deploy the Power Pole. If I am going to fish 12' water I simply get my boat in the 7' range and deploy the pole then i am able to make multiple casts in that area without trying to fight the wind or what have you. It is one of the best investments I have made. Can't wait for the spawn next year. If we have any water left to fish in or even get a boat in. Please Lord send rain!

I would rather have 2 8'. I have one now and I really prefer to have two. Much easier to position your boat and keep it there.

I would go with 2 8's as well I have one right now I just put on and cant wait to get the other. One is fine but if the wind is blowing you still need to work the TM. So IMO get 2 you will be more happy than with 1.

I have one 8' XL series on my boat. There have been a hand full of times that I actually needed two poles. There have been numerous times that I was set up on hump or flat in 10' or so of water trying to fish laydowns or brushpiles that it would have been nice to have that extra length to hold in those locations. In my opinion, I would rather have one longer power pole than two shorter ones.
Even though the ten footer is two foot longer, it will only stick up a foot higher than the 8 footer. (1 foot frame, 1 foot pole)

I have had two 8' Power Pole Pro series for several trips now and I love'em. In makes it so easy to give a spot more attention plus as I'm from West Texas and fish in a lot of wind, the power poles are really good to handle the wind.

I would also like the 2 8's. When you really want to set up on a fish in the wind it is the best solution. I probably won't need to set up on one in 10 foot.

Two eight footers over one 10 footer. Two 10 footers will be my next set-up.

dont mean to change the subject but, is it worth it to buy sportsman series? every body always seems to have the pro series. im in the market, and when wanting 2 the sportsmans are alot cheaper.

Wow this is not exactly the response I was expecting. I have definitely noticed when fishing out of my partners boat which has a 8' pro that we use it a LOT but there are lots of times when the bottom is just out of reach with the 8 footer.
Fouz that would be ideal but 5 grand for them is more than I am willing to spend. I guess with one 10 Blade there is always the option to add one.

get the 8s, i have one wish I had two, they are great even in the wind, you just have to work with them and learn what they will do and wont do.

I'd rather have a 10. I have one of the 8's now and it works in about 7-7.5ft pretty well but I find myself in 8-9ft alot and wishing it would work. Don't have too much problem spinning like some, I fish alone so if I spin a little just move to the middle or back of the boat
