Let me start out by saying that I am not sponsored by Hydrowave. Mine is an honest and objective opinion.
I've had one for almost a month now and I really like it. It has a lot of different settings and I'm still learning when and how to best use those different settings.
There have been a few times when I was 99% sure that it made a difference in catching more fish. I feel like the more I use it, the more I'll learn what settings work best, when it works best, etc.
If you think about the concept and the theory behind it, it makes perfect sense. We are able to mimic and call in just about any other animal that I can think of. From calling in ducks, coyotes, and crows, to rattling in deer, there's definitely something behind the theory here. Why shouldn't we be able to call in bass and other gamefish? They are predators just like a coyote, bobcats, etc.
I am very optimistic with the results I have seen from the limited time I've used mine. If a fisherman is expecting a MIRACLE, I think he might be disappointed, but if he is expecting the unit to make a DIFFERENCE, I think he will see that over time. In fishing (especially in my business and in tournament fishing), extra bites can make all the difference in the final outcomes of our days. For me, it is a worthwhile investment.

Fouz, you just hang it from the side of the boat? I am getting one and was dreading putting it on the troll motor. No, I would mount it to your TM and then mount the bracket for the unit on the front deck. I'm botaless right now so that's why I was dropping the speaker down about 4 feet or so and then wrapping the wire around the boat cleat. Because it wasn't my boat. If it were, I would have it mounted properly.

I don't have one, nor do I know anyone who does. There are alot of products out there to hook the fisherman and not the fish. But I did a lot of diving this summer and I had several large schools of shad come by me while under the water. I was amazed at the sound the school of shad were making and how loud it was under the water. So the science behind the product is sound in theory atleast.

I've owned a hydrowave now for a few months. I absolutely love it, I've said on here before and will say again that I think the hydrowave is as important as my graphs and gps and power pole. I think it's unfair for people to get on here and bash ANY product that they DO NOT own. You can put a review thread up here and hope that people put their positive input in so you feel all warm and fuzzy inside before you buy one, but the bottom-line is most people don't give feedback unless it's negative. My first question: Has anyone ever left a negative comment about Hydrowave that OWNS one?? I don't recall seeing one? There have been several good comments but that is rare for a bass fishermen to say something is incredible and everyone should buy one. A bass fisherman likes to keep things under his hat!! Having said that, Here is my good comment; I have seen enough cool things happen with mine in the boat that I will NEVER leave the bank without it. There will never be a fishing day that I don't turn it on at some point in the day. I've used it and won tournaments this summer at night, one tournament in particular my buddy was amazed, he has no doubt it helped us win the tournament.
My advice would be to buy one then if you don't like it or if you don't think it's helped you then come on here and be the first to share why you don't like it.

Leary Larrys and Gotta Havit Macks! Read every post and the political stage is set. Now let me kiss the baby. My local tackle shop is like your O'le Dads Barber Shop when it come to sharing info. The trend is this...no one wanted to be first. Everybody wanted to wait and see. Well since even the magazines don't want to review it, this in what Central Texas is about to do. Four or five teams are buying them at the same time.

Four or five teams are buying them at the same time from Tightlines in Killeen and then you'll have your review OR you can get some of you teams together and approach Tightlines for a group rate. Just a thought. I'm not the owner, I'm just one of the guys that has his Thursday bowl of Jambolia there. What??

I'm pretty sure he just said that somebody's baby wanted a kiss in the barber shop after eating a bowl of Jambalaya but nobody wanted to do it first so the baby is getting group kissed. But that's just a guess.

Just checked eBay to see if many were for sale. Not one used Hydrowave is out there (searched the word hydrowave). Read into it what you may. It appears people are holding onto them right now.

I have been running my hdrowave for 5 months now. The different activity responses I have seen in bass, sandbass, stripers, etc. has been phenomenal. I have yet to speak with anyone who has not seen a huge difference in activity while using the Hydrowave in a day of fishing. The Hydrowave is essentialy a tool that creates a window of feeding activity that can dramatically change the outcome of a tournament day, or just a fun day on the water. In todays high level of competition and fishing pressure you are at a huge disadvantage without one on your boat!

Nick, are you a pro-staffer? if so, how about a little more detail on your "phenonmenal" quote. What's the best sound to use, volume, delay, every 30 secs, shad what? I have one and have not seen phenomenal results, but I've only used it twice. Oh and to The TFF!
