I would let the snakes have them.

Do you know what kind of snakes were they?

If they were venomous, I would get rid of them.
Better safe than sorry.

Believe it or not, snake venom is digestible so long as you do not have open ulcers in your stomach.

And that's raw. Cooking venom dramatically lowers it's toxicity.

Either way, no one would be mad at you for not wanting to consume venom. lol.

Most likely they were Diamondback watersnakes that are non-venomous. They were just looking for an easy meal and apparently found it, lol. I have caught and kept snakes all my life and I have never heard of the effects of eating venom in an animal that has been bitten. Might have to look that up. Cool story though.

Unfortunately people see a snake in the water and it's automatically a water mocassin.

People take chances every day. I've taken chances many times. And, I could've lost my life. But, I had a lot of fun getting my adrenaline "fix".
Yet, I would NEVER think about eating fish bitten by any snake,.....NOT EVEN!

Need to improve my LMB fishing, running out of time.
