Anyone have any intel on lake hamilton stripers this time of year? AM taking the kids up there this weekend and trying to get em on some of the "hawgs" that lake holds. ANy help appreciated.

If your a bait fisherman stop at Wright Patmen Lake on the way and get it there.

Head up the tailrace of Ouchita. You will see an area where the cool tailrace water meets the lake water--there will be kind of a scum line. water temp will drop 20 degrees or more. Last time I was there there were a ton of small shad 1-2 inches and the striper were feeding on them so don't just bring big lures. As you get closer to the dam there is an abundance of rainbow trout so some rainbow trout swimbaits would work well. I spoke with some trout fishermen and they would release trout that had been deep hooked and see striper exploding on them.
