I have an HDS7 at the front of my boat and an LCX112c at the steering wheel. I have them networked together right now so that I can utilize the built in gps on the HDS unit. I had considered selling the large LCX unit and getting a HDS8 or 10 but figured it would be Lind of hard to do just having the head unit and the transducer so I just purchased a transponder tonight for the LCX. I bought the LGC 4000 because I've heard it's the fastest one out there but I've also heard that if you network it with the HDS units they will update your location a lot faster. In the meantime until I sell the big LCX unit; how do I make the internal gps on the HDS unit and the new LGC4000 work together. Is there anything different I need to do. Also if anyone reading this is interested in the big LCX feel free to make an offer because ventrally my goal is to have the HDS7 up front and a larger HDS unit at the wheel

The internal antenna and the LGC-4000 don't actually "work together". Each will be listed in the list of network devices and you must select which one you want the system to use.

I have a HDS-7 and HDS-8 sharing s LGC-4000 via the network.

BTW, in addition to more frequent updates, I found that the LGC-4000 also provides better position accuracy (EPE) than either the internal antennas or older LGC units.

C.
