+1 Thats what I think so too.

One thing I forgot to include in my original post:

I did notice for me how using flouro helps me a lot during windy days (Since it sinks).

Since Spiderwire put out their "Flourobraid", Ive been replacing all my spools with it. Its braid, but it sinks.

When fishing a C-rig, the fish often see the braid come across their face before they see the leader. The braid can potentially be a warning sign for seasoned bass. People think just because they use a mono or fluoro leader, that their okay. Not necessarily. You drag the braid by the fish first.

+1 Plus, by using a leader, you have the option to break it off intentionally when you get hungup rather than maneuvering the boat too close and spook fish or cutting the braid and potentionally loosing 20 yards of line!

I rarely use braid but when I do the only time I use a leader is with a Carolina rig.

I use braid only on every rod I have. I fish lots of clear water and catch many fish. I don't think that it matters if you have a leader or not.

But isn't that 3/4 of our motivation?

I'm no expert, but I tend to think I can get by with braided line on any fast retrieve, not so much with a slow retrieve.
