Might be something to the story because I've been on Calaveras anchored on top of a "hump" that drops into about 28' of water on the main creek channel, and it's a spot that is well known and I've fished it for years as most everyone else, but it's first come first served.
The only people that ever got heart burn that I was anchored on the spot were one of the fishing guides that works the lake.
I'm not saying which one because I really truly don't know because they all look the same to me, and I really don't pay them much attention, and just try to ignore their go to h*ll looks, and directed comments, but reading this charge I would understand where the accuser is coming from.
I guess when you fish for your livelyhood, you kind of feel like you own the lake or at least think you have more rights than anyone else.
Like I said though, I just ignore them and let them steam, and just continue to catch fish, and when I'm through, they can have their spot back.
After all, I never saw a bouy marker there with their name on it!

Maybe they were fighting because someone called a bluegill a perch and someone else said no, that's a sunfish, a perch is a northern relative of the walleye.

I live here and fish the lake.It really is big enough for the both of them and us too.It looks like a water ballet.When you find the fish on the finders.You know doing the figure 8.Or two parallel circles rotating in opposite directions.I love it!!!Just don,t cross lines.
