i went there last night and spent some time there and id have to say the people that run that place are the rudest people ive ever encountered they for sure get a bad review from me!!!!!!!!

I agree. He spends more time trying to keep boaters away from the barge than he does taking care of his customers.

Some things never change. It's been 10+ years since I was there last. Had a thought about going back, NOT NOW!!!
I also had issues with the locals there. Try crappie fishing and with a slow bite, everyone is angry. Catch a few then everyone wants to know jig color, depth, etc.. Kiss off!!!

ya i was catching them on that wall pretty good and some a**hole came over about 2ft from us and was throwing a throw net we had some words and then they kept asking for my fish i told them i was a tournament fisherman i don't keep bass and they really mad them angry.

If you were fishing on the barge you must have met the famous Joe. LOL. Yes he is very rude. He thinks he is the worlds best fisherman. He has pics on the wall of himself with big catfish and 3 to 5 pound bass he caught on live bait. I have spent a many of hours on that barge crappie fishing and bass fishing and he has always been like that. I just ignore him. He really gets upset when you catch more than he does. lol

Is this the same place where the guy called the GW and said some tournment guy were shocking there fish up TOTAL BS and the GW came to insp the boat and stepped on /broke a rod? That barge guy is NUTS!!

There's some wierd people on crappie barges, I remember this guy on Rocky Creek who held up a dead minnow and screamed YOUR DEAD at the poor minnow.

They do get awful mad when you fish around the barge from a boat. I just move off a little bit and ignore them. Haven't had anyone throw anything at me, but I've been cussed out on more than one occasion.
