I need to get three trolling motor batteries in the next week. At the time I am not wanting to spend top dollar but I don't want junk either. Something that would last me a year or so would be fine with me. Any suggestions?

Yep they are used to be all I would use until this last time I bought the Interstate's at Sam's very reasonable. But will probably go back to the Walmart's next time. You can find a Walmart just about anywhere now a days.

the walmart bateries are as good as any other. Keep them charged. Had the same 2 in my boat for 3 years. The maxx series comes with a free 3 year replacement, which I have only used when I kept the batery in a tractor with a short

Johnson Control makes both the Walmart and Interstate batteries.

I just discovered I need to replace my Cranking battery and it was a Walmart battery. The date code says I had it for 4 1/2 years. Not bad service so thats what I will replace it with!

are the walmart batteries anygood? Walmart Batteries are some of the best for the money. Just replaced mine ( the biggest one they have ) after three years. The key is to recharge them every time you come in off the water. They will last a long time that way. It is good for them to stay fully charged when not in use. Especially in the winter.

So I guess as far as Walmart Batteries go the Maxx29 and the Everstart 27DC-6 are the largest.

I used Walmart batteries in my last rig and had wonderful service out of them. If you don't have a bank charger that charges all your T/M batteries at once, I highly recoment having a battery charger per battery and charge them all at the same time in equal amounts...discharge them in the same way. My T/M was 24 volt and I ran in 24 volt 100% of the time. This will make your batteries last many times longer.....

One last question . Went to Walmart and there is almost a $20.00 difference between the 29DC and the 27DC. Is it worth the extra $60.00 dollars. Keep in mind I don't use my trolling motor a whole lot like bass fisherman do.
