I flew out of NAS Dallas 1986-90. The guys there tell me there is a plane, A-7 Corsair still in the lake?? Test gone wrong at LTV. My neighbor and son have been fishing Mountain Creek all this summer. Go in by the Power plant east side. Not many know about this.Alot of fish. I was told it is very snakey.

A friend of mine told me that in the 60's, I think (not long after the lake filled), that a U.S. military jet crashed in Falcon lake. He said that for awhile you could see it sticking out of the water. His grandparents lived in one of the rock houses near marker 2, (just north of the point in Falcon State Park). He and his siblings went there every summer to help them farm, and so he is a good source of information around that era. I don't know if it was ever recovered or not, but you can't see it now, obviously.

Good place for a MD-80, The pilots liked to fly them but what a P.O.S. to work on!

I hate Mad Dog 80' as a passenger but when I fueled them in San Antonio, I loved them.

Our Evolution will depend on our ability to add an "R" to the beginning of that word!

I know for a fact there is a plane in the south end of Mountain Creek Lake.

I once looked for the info, and all I could find was a F-7U Cutlas that "overran the runway" in 1950
and this from 1975

Even 2 years ago, a section of the plane was sticking above the water line (been shot up a good deal since then).
