JR thanks Bud...Whats funny about your post so quickly is that I had my fishing partner at my house and we were literally just on your website! We are looking for our next trip and were discussing where we wanted to go next, Ivie, Falcon, back to Fork, etc...It dont believe in Karma, but we both looked at each other after your response and said...I think we just found our next guide trip!!! eeks

Here is what we were talking about in regards to Ivie...When we go to Fork we stay at LFM in their homes up front and like to do 2 day trips at a minimum given the drive...Is there a decent place to stay, or preferably homes for rent around the lake?

If the boat is any indicator, id say its a private pond. Just my guess.

That is nothing short of incredible. Butch is for real. I have talked to him at length and he is a very humble and nice guy that puts in his time. He fishes the Lower Lagoon of Castaic most of the time. I fished it last Feb with Mickey Ellis from 3:16 Lures. It is basically a large pond of about 250 acres below the dam of Castaic.

Southern Cal trout fed bass. I enjoyed fishing those lakes when I was stationed out there in the Navy. Nearly every Southern Cal lake, regardless of size, has a lake record bass over 20 lbs that has been caught.

Guys lets not for get the greatness of Bob Crupi...Bob was a Southern Cali great one. He died a few years ago and was a Los Angeles PD Motor Cop.
Or even Bill Murphy, he was greatness on those Southern Cali lakes.
