Hi guys:
Where in Galveston can I go to try fly fishing? Do you cast out from the beach/wade/surf or would you mosey into one of the bays?

I am thinking that the back bays might be easier for getting started strictly from a casting standpoint. But there are far more experienced members on this board who will shortly chime in and advise.

I would find a place to rent a kayak and work the grass lines in East Bay.

There's a book out on wade and kayak fishing the Galveston Bays, I got a copy at the fly shop over by the Galleria, I think it's Angler's Edge?
