Benno's is one of my favorite places on Seawall Blvd. A walk up to the counter and order Cajun seafood place. Not fancy but great food. Also on Seawall is Fish Tales restaurant and Millers Seawall Grill has a really good breakfast. Tortuga is a Mexican restaurant with good food and lethal margarita's. There is also a burger place on the right as you are heading west away from the seawall area of Galveston on San Luis Pass Rd called Cafe Michael Burger. Great burgers and food last time I was there.
I have been there 3 or 4 times the last year or so and still trying out different places. Hope this helps.

Shrimp and Stuff...off the beaten path...tough to find but well worth it. Get there early!

I also second Cafe Micheal Burger...I don't go to Galveston without eating these two places!

Guido's, it's a little pricey but well worth it to me. When they say fresh fish of the day they mean exactly that. It's right on Seawall Blvd.

Benno's is my Galveston favorite too - good seafood at a reasonable price. If you drive down the coast to Surfside try the Red Snapper Inn - their crab claw appetizer is fantastic and their fish po-boy is actually made from red snapper, not catfish or tilapia like most "seafood" places.

My experience lately with Guido's is that is living off it's reputation from years ago. It seems like the quality has gone down and the prices have gone up over the last few years. I really want to like them, but just have not had a great experience lately.

If you go in at Casey's, it's attached to Guido's, the food is the same and the price is lower. No linen table cloths at Casey's.

FishinPhillip

Everything happens for a reason. Sometimes the reason is you are stupid and make bad decisions.
