thanks for posting this report. it motivated me to make the trip to clear lake this weekend. it was my first time to fish this lake. i fished saturday, from 7pm till just after dark. i caught a bass on almost every cast into the hydrilla. i was using a weightless lake fork creature. the water is amazingly clear. you can easily see 10ft down. there was not another person around the entire time i was there.
sunday, i went back and fished from 10am until dark. the bass were not nearly as cooperative (about 15), but the perch were biting good. i took home 32 big perch. tried something new to me for the perch, berkley angleworms. they worked great!
again, thanks for the info on the lake. it made for a great weekend, even if it was 101F.

See that, RiverBassin...your post was able to coax KaLub into the water again. Very cool....
Hey, KaLub...good to hear from you. I always enjoyed your posts and haven't 'seen' you around lately. Glad you were able to wet some hooks at Clear Lake; it's a great little fishery.

Around the month of March I posted a picture of a 2.5 lb red ear sunfish in the bluegill subforum. I found it floating in Rhodes lake (north of clear lake). Tons of huge bluegills in all of the grasslands lakes. You can catch them in 15ft of water right smack dab in the middle lake. Drop a 32nd ounce jighead with night crawler and fish on!

Very nice report and pictures. Hope people don't make a habit of taking home 30 big perch or there won't be any big perch left.

I recently caught the lake record for Rhodes Lake LM bass. 8 pounds, 24 inch length, 20 inch girth. Released her too. She's in there boys!!! Level is low now so i recommend you walk across dam to the big dead tree by the flat:)

Crappie were hitting the frogs?
What is the biggest one you have caught?
