Took the day off yesterday, after a rough end-of-quarter and went to Glen Rose with a buddy of mine. I would highly recomend this place to anyone in the Dallas area. We fished from 7:30 to 2:00 and they never really stopped biting. I can't count the number of pan fish I grabbed, and I managed to get 5 or six little bass.
I was using pretty much 1 popper the whole day on a 8'5 #6 rod.

Where in Glen Rose? Squaw Creek?

John 5:24 Very truly I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.
1Peter 3:18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit.

Squaw Creek is still closed. I'm not sure if you can bank fish there or not. So are you talking about the Brazos. Don't tease, give up the details

I've never been there, but a few regulars on this board have posted about the Paluxy River near Glen Rose on my site, the Texas Fly Report. Here's a link to their fishing reports: http://www.texasflyreport.com/reports/region.asp?ID=2&forum=24 [This message has been edited by aghill (edited 07-03-2003).]

there's all kinds of river there in Glen Rose, more than I can detail in a short posting. You can wade it, you can canoe or kayak it, its all good. Just need to pay attention to property lines and not walk through private property in access the water. But there is plenty enough access to get around that. ------------------ RRhyne56, Flyfishing Warden rrhyne56@comcast.net Robins Custom Flies and Leaders

Sorry for the delay, for some reason people are expecting me to work today.
We put in at the Dinosour park and waded around 2miles up river(paluxy). We were a little worried that with three of us, it would be a little crowded but there was great fishing throughout the river.
