who sells the best quality flies online? cabelas, bps, or some other not so gun-ho company.

edit: i would also like a list of companies that have good quality and prices, with low shipping (one personal website wanted some crazy price because he placed the flies in fly boxes and sent them from there, major rip off! as the boxes didnt even cost that much and shipping was small too!)

I placed one order last year--mostly terrestrials with www.roundrocks.com . The price was good and so was the quality. They do charge about $5 for shipping so it pays to get quite a few at a time.

try The Fly Shop. It has a very extensive selection and the prices are pretty good. They charge shipping, but I don't think it's too bad.

The only problem I have with Round Rocks is that often the pattern/size of fly I want is out-of-stock, thus it takes a little longer to get your order. If you don't want to pay shipping twice, then you have to wait until all of your order stocks before receiving them.

Everything I bought held up well and caught fish.

Try....www.hillsdiscountflies.com. Very good prices, buy as many or as few as you like. Good package deals for setting up first timers and usually something in hot deals that piques my interest. Fast and fair shipping, quality merchandise. I use them exclusively after trying several other net dealers.
