Thanks for the photos. The marina we stayed at has a cleaning station, vacuum packer & walk-in freezer and sells wet-lock fish boxes. Most economical way to bring fish home is to just check it as baggage with Alaska airlines. They charge $20 per bag (or fish box) up to 3 bags per person. www.knudsoncove.comTo my mind, the rates at this place are reasonable. Alton - no meese/mooses.

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

Man....what a great time! I am on my way back home from Alaska right now.
We stayed on the Kenai and went to Homer and Hope while there.
Homer was freaking awesome....the Halibut that came across the filet table where HUGE!!!!!
I have never seen more beautiful country....we saw hundreds of bald eagles, bunch of bear, caribou, and of course salmon and trout a plenty!
Every time you round the bend of a road you believe you have seen the most beautiful thing you have ever seen...then there is the next bend!
Glad to see you had a great time!
Whether you think you can or you can't, you are probably right.
