2 on long casts that either need to be accurate or as far as possible, 1 on shorter casts.
2 hand casts are not as comfortable as they used to be thanks to split grips... +1

Two for long casts and one for shorter casts. How many people cast and change hands? I switched to a left handed set up so I don't have to change hands after casting. I find it much more efficient.
