A friend & I are making a trip to Grapevine tomorrow AM to check it out. How are the sandies doing in this heat? Anybody having any luck?

Your best bet is to go to WALMART to the fish tanks in the pet dept.

Well, I thought about goin to EM, but I heard Johnny already caught all the sandies out of there . . .

Me and the Brother n Law went this morning.Got 10 whites and 3 nice cats. Whites were not on top and the ones I caught were trolling a crank bait with a spoon tied on it .About 6 foot down in 20 to 25 foot of water.The never did school up and surface. We got their at dawn and the gar were rolling every where!Never seen that many at once before. We got the cats drifting cut shad.The largest was 5 lbs.They will hit the grease tomorrow !

Kenny leave those surfacing fish alone and find them on the bottom. The surfacing action will get real undepenable now.

Wrong Aggie, Frank. '91, last couple of weeks, I've noticed the sandys schooling through sand bass point, across Scott's Marina, mid day. I caught some nice fish on Ole Uglies.

Boy those look good Jonathan! Thanx for the tip AggieKenny! Foud 'em on top off & on until about 2pm around points by the islands. Did'nt keep any, but had a good time & I am sure we will be back up there sooner or later. Thanks again for the info! BTW, I read thru your boat rebuild thread, that's a heck of a job, the boat looks great!!! Sandjohnny, no prob, although I was confused for a little while  ( my wife says confused is my natural state, so I was pretty comfortable)!
