I highly doubt the marina is worth it, gotta be difficult or impossible to get out. The lakes are dropping fast.

It is starting to get real shallow going into the channel from Lake Tyler to Tyler East, last Friday when I was there I was showing 2'-5" and that was about 30 yards from the no wake sign. So I would shut it down at about 50 yards out just to keep the skeg from digging into the bottom. Never know where you might come across a stray rock or 2. They dug it out a few years ago but this was just out of reach of the track hoe they used. So use caution when entering.

Fastlane we caught some descent numbers but nothing huge. I think we weighed in a heavy 3lbr and a lighter 3lbr.

Me and a buddy went last night. Didn't do well.

The marina ramp is out of the question and the hill creek ramp is okay if youre launching a jon boat. There is a two foot drop at the end of the ramp at hill creek and I've heard lots of reports of guys tearing up their trailers. If you are going to attempt to launch at Hill Creek, don't let your trailer tires fall off the edge or you're screwed.

Hill creek is getting that low now? Guess it is time to break out the 16ft Jon boat frown. I hate throwing all my gear in that thing, it bangs around on everything.

hill creek was not that bad, my trailer fell off the end but its not that big of a drop. 4 wheel drive slow on way out no issues.

The reporter said people are mowing under their docks. That should be against the law.

I walked out there, went from ankle deep to mid thigh deep in one step. Best of luck to ya!

On Friday there were two reports of axles and shackle damage at hill creek. The Athens Bass Club had a tournament scheduled for Saturday evening. The tournament was moved to Lake Athens to be on the safe side.

What are the laws on adding bags of concrete to the end of the ramp?

Back when it got lower than this they came out and did some minor work to Hillcreek and it made it good all the way to 8ft low. They did close it for about a day or so to do it. I saw the same report that Chris Green did on the news and I think the ramps he was saying they were gonna close were the ones at the marina.

^ He is right. Back in 2006 the city put a dumptruck load of bricks & chunk rock at the end of the ramp and we were launching there when the lake was 8ft low. If you look at your depthfinder when you back off the trailer the bricks are now the little hump out behind the ramp. The boats have blowed them further out into the lake after it came back up.

Shouldn't be to big of a deal to get about 20 bags of sacrete and toss down there along the edge of the ramp.
