nope, but it sounds like it could be a Clouser tied with fox fur? Where did you see/hear of it? ------------------ RRhyne56, Flyfishing Warden rrhyne56@comcast.net Robins Custom Flies and Leaders

Found it: http://www.nesportsman.com/nh/jimsflybox/fly10.shtml This link also includes a good discription of the old Clouser vs. all it's spinoffs. I saw it mentioned as catching some smallmouths back east somewhere.

the old rule of thumb is that a Clouser ought to be tied sparsly enough that one can read a newspaper through it. ------------------ RRhyne56, Flyfishing Warden rrhyne56@comcast.net Robins Custom Flies and Leaders

Several years ago (can't remember exactly) there was a magazine article about Foxy Clousers. Just happen to find a road killed red fox about a week later. Had a beautiful tail so I tied up a bunch of those little Clousers. Never could catch a fish on one but I still have them and the tail. Bill

How about dog fur? I remember when I was a teenager making a popper and using hair that I trimmed from our long-haired german shepherd dog.

John 5:24 Very truly I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.
1Peter 3:18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit.

I tie two types of Foxee Clousers -- one with Arctic Fox and one with gray fox. The gray fox version is from Joe Cornwell, from whom I've also purchased fiberglass fly rods, a good tie found on his Fly Fish Ohio website. Bob Clouser also ties one in his book Clouser's Flies.
