Dan, do yourself a favor and look at the Sears Platimnum. Full 3 year non-prorated warranty. They are a beast. Costs are a little less than Optimas and the warranty is better. 24 month for the Optima.

Trojan's are awesome! Over 2 million golf carts/course managers use them exclusively!

Try MetroPlex Battery in Dallas! cheers

Sears Platinum Die Hard. Great batteries. About $600 for two. Not cheap but superb.

I had a bad experience with Optimas years ago. If they're not any better skip em.

My opinion is to buy Interstate or Continental batteries and just plan to replace them every two years.

Trojan batteries have a system that allows you to properly fill them with distilled water in a very conveniently and not over fill them. This is what folks that maintain large numbers of golf carts do.

Can't really confirm this, but the mechanic at my boat dealer steered me away from Optis last time I was purchasing batteries. He said they moved production to Mexico and the quality has suffered.

I'm looking for a quality trolling battery. Might have to give the Trojan a try. Wish I had the cash to drop on a few Lithionics.
