Nasworthy used to be a good lake. I went to college there and fished it all the time. That was when OC Fisher had water too. They dredged Nasworthy so it is probably a better lake now than it was back then. I left in 99.

Texan4Liberty and JR Howard live there and can be a lot of help to you. Shoot either one of them a PM. There are several others in Angelo that will get on here later this evening and help out. I don't know of boat storage places in Angelo.

Nasworthy has some nice fish in it. We call it Lake Nastywater because of all the trash that lines the bank. A lot of inconsiderate people frequent that lake and have trashed it for years.

Don't overlook going to Oak Creek. Not that far from Angelo and it's some awesome fishing. Of course, you will be only just over an hour from beautiful lake Ivie and the chance of a fish of a lifetime there.

The jig bite has been good on the ledges of the river channels and for suspended bass in the deeper trees. The crankbait bite has been "so-so". Some good fish are being caught on 3/4 ounce spinnerbaits on the deep ledges. Awesome top water bite right now and a good Texas rig and Carolina rig bite in the grass beds.

Nasworthy is tough because of the boat traffic.

I saw with my own two eyes, a LMB caught from Oak Creek from a bank fisherman that weighed 13.7. This fish was delivered to a taxidermist in Bronte, the fish had been on ice for three days before I saw it, should have easily been over 14.

No prob Hag. I sent a pm because I was really long winded. If you go Saturday go early and plan to get off the water early or you will be dodging ski boats, most of them wont dodge you. Last month I had a lady on a wake board about 15' from me.

No ramps in the water on buttes. You will have to find a rocky spot to put in off the bank. Be careful and make sure its a spot you can get out of.
