I dont. You have to be going about 3mph for it to work good.

No, SI does not work well at the bow. Some people use it but you pretty much have to be going strait or else the picture will distort badly.

I use it on the front, with tons of boat docks around, it is a good tool to see what people have hidden up in their slip areas. Lots of things to see there.
Currently I have a 798 up front. Works for me.

I have it on bow and use it alot. as mentioned above, you gotta be going no faster than 4 mph and it helps to be going straight.

I have it at both stations. I find i use the SI more at the helm its quicker and easier. I then mark what I like and go back and use DI on it. If I was making a money based decision i would save the cost on the bow unit and get more tackle....hahahaha

I have it on the console and the bow. I don't use the side imaging that much on the bow, but at times I do. You have to turn your chart speed down for the best results and it does smear the image when you turn the motor. Mostly I use the bow unit for holding on GPS waypoints with a split screen of either DI or 2d sonar. If I'm on a spot with stumps or other reference points I use a split screen with DI and 2D sonar. In short, yes I use SI on the bow but not that much.
