Hit the lake with RDZ(James) and Brazoswhiskerchaser(Garrett). Caught a good amount of shad and in the process also netted up a half dozen nice perch. Got set up on a windblown flat in 9' of water and deployed baits right at dark. Fish stayed pretty busy with quite a few blues and channels in the 2-4lb range being caught and iced down. Garrett had one of the perch cast out and it was'nt long before a flatty took the bait. Batteries in the scale were dead but we estimated the fish at 25-28lbs. It was quickly released and it made a hasty retreat back into the night. James had what we guess to be a big gar on for a while. We could see the splashing out about 40 yards from the boat and it was big whatever it was. Iced down 10 fish for the fryer and released 10 or so more. Sorry for the lousy photo. None of our phones had a flash and I did'nt bring the light rig. Pro Angler Rods did work on this fun outing.

They are in Lake A. If you are brave enough to fish were they are on the ghetto side, and now it is a relatively short cast to them.
