I'm new to carp fishing, but noticed there are a lot of carp where I have been kayaking on the concho river near San Angelo. I had read about fly fishing for them so last time I went I took a fly rod. I was using a grasshopper type fly and the carp did not seem interested in the least bit. I'm not sure what kind of carp they were but I was just wondering if all species of carp will take flies? And what kind of fly should I try/how do I fish it? Thank you very much. I look forward to getting more into carp fishing.

absolutely. whether they take them or not is up to the fish. They like buggy flies on the bottom. imagine a small dinner plate in front of them and cast there
Bowfishing sucks
