Hi all. Looking for what you all use for your kids bobber rods.. I have tried the zebcos and the tiny zebco .. I recently was in bass pro sho in shrevport. and got a whally marshall.. seems ok..
my kids are small so I need a light reel.. but the challenge I found is the zebcos start to drag when casting.. and the little bobber just won't go far to get out of the shallows.
I bought a shimano crucial 5' rod.... very nice and they seem to like it..has small handle.. but a little big for my 3 year old.. my 5 year old is ok with it..
The best I have been finding is those spider man and barbie outfits and after couple months just replace it.. seems to be the best for them..
What do yall use?

What you might consider with the kiddo's is ultra light combo's with underspin zebco's especially for the 6 year old. They worked for my grand daughters and I believe they helped especially when they transitioned into open faced spinning reels. The next step will be baitcasters for them.
At least my boat and truck are paid for, woo hoo!

Look at the Shakespeare 4'6" Synergy Microcast Combo. I put the reel on a 10' Crapie pole and it works great. The combo includes a 4'6" rod. $20
