Does anybody know why the COE is letting so much water out of Stillhouse with the lake now 11 feet low ?

only positive is there are a ton of white bass to be caught in the spillway

agricultural act... farmers have to have there water. also they pump some to Georgetown.

And georgetown pumps to Grangier. They also let the river have some water to replenish underground wells downstream.

DOW Chemical has purchased a sizeable amount of water from the Brazos River Authority for use in their processing plant near the coast. They want the "good" water out of the Little River watershed, not the salty stuff from the mainstem Brazos Reservoirs.

When we do get rain all that grass that finally started to grow is likely to die.
