I was trying to make a trip to Rayburn at the end of the week and was wondering if anyone knew if the ramp at Caney Creek is still useable?
Thank you for the info

I heard yesterday that they are filling in the hole with gravel at the base of the Caney ramp. That will help with launching. Actually they are doing that on all the ramps in the mid lake area. Fishing is awesome for summer bite and the fall will be even better. I was guiding in 96 when the lake was this low and it was the best fishing I have ever been around. Don't let the low levels worry you, just take your time.

Might want to call and check the ramp status at Caney. I heard last night that it was unusable due to the low water level. Couple of weeks ago, we launched out of Caney and plenty of people had difficult time both launching and loading. Trailers fell off the end of the ramp into a deep hole - gotta be careful overall. Best ramps might be at South end of the lake, twin dikes or the pavilion which get used alot.

Your best bet is Twin Dikes and the Pavilion. Those ramps are good.

I heard Sunday that the end of the ramp at Cany had crumbled making it even worse. Might want to cal the Corps and see what the status is before you go.

You can launch there, just might not get your axle back with your trailer.
