We were fishing there Sat morning in the rain when we noticed thes softball size globs floating just below the surface of the water. What are they?

I was wondering the same thing. It looks like jelly fish at first. I saw some growing on trees below the water.

Yea, I poked one with my rod tip and they are pretty firm. They do have a jelly fish appearance. Whatever it is the fishing was awesome while they were there.

I'm sure someone will chime in with the scientific name so we can google it. grin I know that they're a sign of a healthy lake and the topic seems to come up on the TFF about this time every year
