From what I hear, Buttes has been kicking them out lately.

The top left picture on my photos page ( http://www.realdealcustomtackle.com/real_deal_custom_tackle_004.htm ) is the winning stringer from the Falcon Lake Tackle Tourney.

I just hope everyone here realizes that stringer came out of a lake with less than 4% of its water. (Twin Buttes) And no open ramps. A few places to get a bass boat in if you're brave, but mostly flat bottom and yak fishing goin on out there.

And from what I hear its been awesome lately.

West Texas says F*** YOU to the drought!

Back when Ray Roberts was a real fishery, you were wasting your time going to the scales at a Wednesday night tournament with less than twenty pounds. Our biggest on a Wednesday nighter was 27 1/2 lbs. My personal three fun fishing was over thirty. Man, those were the days.

i was there and saw it with my own two eyes.. that was a great fish and a great stringer.. i placed third in that tourney and the guy fishing on my boat with me finished second to that weight so i didnt feel too bad. plus that was my first tourney to ever fish in. buttes is producing right now. i had one fish that was 6.71 and the guy fishing with me had a 6.43.

Officially, Twin Buttes is 9% full, but going down every day. Launching is now only off the bank with 4 wheel drive I understand. I love that picture of the Concho Bass Club in their kayaks! Doodlin' at its best.

Fork still kicks out some CRAZY 3 fish strings but you never hear about them because of the slot. I fished an old Specialty Bass event one year when there were two over 13 and a 14 weighed in.

Ahh... the good ole days....
