my stepdad pulls his 21i and gets ~11MPG.

I get about 13MPG with my 4.7L V8 Tundra while towing.

I used too. Got about 10 mpg. with the V8. I didnt like how the truck pulled. Spmetimes it would seem like the boat would push or pull the truck.

Got rid of the truck and went to a Ford Super Duty. MPG is not much better, but the truck pulls the boat ALOT better.

I don't own one, but towed my ZX225 with one and got ~12 on the highway. It pulled the hell out of it though. Night and day difference when pulling with the Tundra and 5.7L than my weak [censored] Chevy and 5.3L

I have the big V8 5.7 and get about 12.5 to 13. If i drive it hard i get around 12. Pulling a Skeeter ZX202. I love it.

Ummmmm....there must have been something wrong with it then. My 07 Tundra 5.7 pulls my 21ft ProCraft like its not even there. I added an exhaust and rear swaybar if that matters, but that was before even buying my boat! Oh and I get from 10 to 12 mpg when towing depending on how close I am to the ramp at daybreak!!

My 08 5.7 tundra gets roughly 10.5 towing. Unless ur getting paid to drive it. I would look else where IMO. Tows alright but even unloaded I don't get no better then 14.5 empty. I spend more on gas then I did with my diesel

I went into a Tundra out of a 2500 HD Chevy. So, that was the difference. I guess I like the way 3/4 tons pull boats. I liked the room in the Tundra, but just hated how it drove.
But there were times in that truck I would wonder who was pulling who, the boat or the truck.

Ouch! I have the same boat and that is not what I was hoping to hear. I have a 04 V8 4Runner 4.7L and get the same or better depending on how I drive it. Just don't think it has the drive train a 3/4 ton truck does...

Maybe I will just keep my SUV and run the wheels off it! I have 123,000 mile on it right now and it runs like a champ still.

If I had a dollar for every time someone asked me "you tow that boat with that SUV?"

got a 2010 Tundra with the 5.7L V8 in March. Wont have any other brand of truck again. Toyota's for LIFE! Get about 12 MPG pulling a 20.5 ft VIP Fish/Ski. Unmatched pulling power among gasoline engines (I've driven them all). Only thing better would be getting a Ford Powerstroke, but for the price difference Tundra all the way!

FYI, for regular non-towing hwy mileage, I get 17-19 with premium unleaded

How can you tell if a truck is 3/4 tons? I'm looking at Toyota's site and don't know. Sorry never owned a truck before....well unless you count a Ford Ranger many years ago!

All Tundra's are 1/2 ton.

Toyota doesnt make 3/4 tons - 3/4's + have 8 lugs.
