Sounds like from his post sircharles got stuck coming out of the river.Sometimes you may be able to get in but if you can't get up completely on pad with the hammer down coming out you will get stuck.Was wondering if they just couldn't get up enough steam coming out or drug a little at the mouth and that slowed them down too much. sircharles?? My friend decided to take it to the left too much. I believe if we would have kept it more straight coming out of the river we might have been ok....but who knows!!! After walking around all of that on foot, there really is not a deep spot, even with all of the boats going in and out of there dragging their skegs and lower units. The difference between where we were and the deepest part of the water near by, was the difference between my ankles and the bottom of my knees....@ 1ft. It seems from checking all of this out, it is better to run right at Widow Maker, and stay on it's SouthEast side, very close. 1999 Triton TR21 - Merc 225
