When pond fishing, does your approach change?
Do you do more weightless or top water if the pond is shallow?
Do you have certain baits you use for pond fishing and certain baits for open water/lake fishing?
When ponds do not have any cover or shade, does that effect the fish's activity?
I am going to rest of lake/boat fishing the week due to the lake levels and try pond fishing. Gotta keep my lure in the water. I'm addicted.

Senko wacky rigged, shaky head, drop shot a ring worm type bait (Hag's or Grande Bass). It all depends on the the amount of vegetation in the lake. My first bait on any pond is a weightless senko. I also like to downsize a bit. Just my .02..

+1 on the weightless senko. I think I've caught bass on just about every pond/lake I've fished on a senko. if the pond gets alot of pressure, try a weightless floating worm in a natural color like green pumpkin but use a heavier hook or line that sinks because there's something about that real slow motionless fall that the fish cant resist. you want it to sink; but just barely. that works for me when nothing else does especially around cover like grass or laydowns...

I like throwing t-rigs, weightless senkos, shakey heads, and zara puppies, but my favorite thing to throw is lipless/squarebill crankbaits. Unless they're super lethargic, I can get them to hit a crankbait.

Big jigs, 10 inch worms, and big swimbaits. No need to downsize, a lot of ponds are holding double digit fish and they're mainly feeding on big bluegill.
