i agree the customer service is extremely good.

these communications were via email and they said the part was not sold individually.

so again i replied "I figured that it wasnt sold individually however someone has to purchase these somewhere unless Humminbird molds them onsite (that I highly doubt).

That being said I would like to be put in contact with purchasing manager for the manufacturing department.

This part (A cable hole cover) is in no way a proprietary part to your product line and I do not see any reason that I cant obtain this information."

i am not trying to be an jerk but this was a simple question

Just buy the kit, or use a clamshell cover

I am transfering waypoints from a lowrance unit to hummingbird. I used hummingbird pc and changed waypoints to hummingbird format, but when I try to put them back on the sd card I get this error: (Data Error Null) What am I doing wrong?

RESOLVED!!!! Software issue.

is anyone up to try to decipher a object?

i have covered this area quite a few times and this wasn't there on my way out but it was there on my way back. I cant figure out what the hell it is. it was such a hard return it was glowing white and to make matters worse it had its own shadow that was glowing white, not dark as expected as a sonar return shadow.

You are right there. Looks like Wayne P is trying to help you. I possibly may have one also. If you still need this type of part PM me and I'll check. I may not have that particular design but I may have something very similar. I think we can solve your concern.
Even though customer service is good at Humminbird, not all employees think the same. Occasionally a return call will result in contact with a different person who can think outside the box. Sometimes it just doesn't do any good.
Reminds me of the cartoon where a guy is standing at the parts counter and very assertively pointing over the clerks shoulder at the wall behind him and exclaiming "I want that part right there."
The clerk on the other hand, is intently staring at his monitor and gently shaking his head while mildly proclaiming " I'm sorry sir, computer says we don't have that part in stock."

Looks like a floating dock to me with ledge below.

your guess is as good as anyone's. the only thing i can say for sure is it wasn't there on my way out. it's was probably a piling. i was hoping for a submarine. this is in Boston Harbor, anything is possible in these waters. there are thousands of pilings under condemned piers.

I had a snapshot of a tree trunk that looked just like that, but I deleted it after verifying what it was.
The next time I am at that body of water, I'll do another one
for comparison.
